SCEA, Gotoh International and Franzetta & Associates bring extensive SCM expertise and complementary approaches to the initiative.

Since 1981, Franzetta & Associates has assisted firms to enhance their supply chain performance, accelerating growth while reducing costs, with specific focus over the past decade on bringing those advantages to middle-market companies.

Chuck Franzetta is known for his emphasis on the “human capital” aspect of supply chain management. His experience includes training SCM teams, recruiting supply chain professionals when new talent is needed, and helping companies develop successful strategies for outsourcing non-core functions so management can focus on their competitive advantages.

Franzetta has written articles on supply chain management for numerous leading publications, and spoken on SCM at many business symposiums and universities. As Director of Worldwide Distribution for Newsweek before establishing Franzetta & Associates, Chuck pioneered logistics outsourcing approaches. As General Manager for Flying Tigers, he developed inventory reduction and expedited transportation practices which have become industry standards.

SCEA has special expertise in supply chain processes and technologies, and a proven supply chain diagnostic method. Gene Tyndall, founding partner of SCEA, was formerly Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain Solutions for Ryder System, Inc., and head of the Ernst & Young global supply chain management consulting practice, where he led breakthrough supply chain projects for many of the world’s leading companies.  He is the co-author of Supercharging Supply Chains, which continues to be one of the most influential business books.  He is frequently quoted in leading business and industry publications.  In 2002, he was named one of the “Top Ten Innovators” by Information Week magazine.

Gotoh International specializes in assisting North American middle-market firms to integrate their domestic operations into global supply chain.  Gotoh’s primary focus is Asian interface, particularly involving vendor relationships, with logistics and inventory control involving China, Japan and Southeast Asia. 

Yoshio Gotoh is a leader in the Midwest Japanese/American business community and has held leadership roles in several Chicago area international business associations. He has nearly 40 years of diverse international logistics and trading company experience, including executive roles with airlines, freight forwarding, warehousing and ocean line operations.

The supply chain assessments will be performed at a fixed price of $25,000, plus expenses.  Previous experience with middle-market supply chain projects have delivered returns on this investment from hundreds of thousands to several million dollars, both in cost savings and continuing revenue growth, according to Franzetta and Tyndall.
